How a Prenuptial Agreement or Postnuptial Agreement Works
Prior to a marriage, or after a marriage in the case of a postnuptial agreement, a couple drafts an agreement on how they will divide their property, debts, income and expenses in the event the marriage ends in a divorce.
Reasons for wanting to pursue a prenuptial or postnuptial agreement may include:
